Royal Purple continuously protects because it continuously adhears to metal parts -even after shutdown. The thin film of oil that remains preserves parts and provides instant lubrication at start-up. Royal Purple is capable of preventing metal-to-metal contact with only a thin film of oil because of its high film strength. (Film strength is a lubricant property that acts to prevent scuffing or scoring of metal parts.) Royal Purple's film strength is up to 400% stronger that either mineral-based oils or other synthetics.
EXTEND OIL CHANGE INTERVAL; SAVE TIME AND MONEY
Many lubricants have a short service life - usually no more than 3,000 miles - because they lack oxidation stability. Oxidation shortens oil live and equipment life. Royal Purple's superior oxidation stability and its ability to clean deposits left by previous oils can extend the number of miles driven between oil changes to as much as 12,000 miles. (Filters should continue to be changed every 3,000 Miles)
REDUCE FRICTION - INCREASE PERFORMANCE
The primary purpose of oil is to reduce friction. Reducing friction increases horsepower and torque and reduces fule comsumption, emissions, engine wear and heat. Royal Purple smooths metal surfaces to futher reduce friction and remains on metal surfaces long after ordinary lubricants would have been squeezed out by pressure and heat.
Royal Purple also provides a superior seal between the piston ring and cylinder wass, which improves combustion. Combine this improved combustion efficiency with Royal Purple's extraordinary film strength and micropolishing capabilities and it is not uncommon for Royal Purple to reduce temperatures more that 12 percent, increase horsepower and torque up to 3 percent, reduce fuel comsumption as much as 5 percent, and reduce emissions by more than 20 percent.
